Last year we were blessed to receive a puppet theater through the gracious donors at DonorsChoose. It has been a hit in our classroom since the day it was assembled! My students simply cannot get enough of it! Now, we would like to add some classic storytelling puppet sets.
I teach all day kindergarten in a high-need community.
My classroom is hands- and brains-on. We love to sing while we learn. My class is made up of a diverse group of loving, energetic five and six year olds. They brighten my life, and that is why I am trying to brighten theirs!
My Project
I am requesting four classic storytelling puppet sets with books to use at our puppet theater. I believe in educating the whole child in a well-rounded and rich environment. These puppet sets would integrate performing arts with literacy. These are classic stories the children have heard repeatedly and would love to act out using the puppets. These puppets would help my students develop their oral language and literacy skills at the same time. They would be a great addition to our classroom!
My students would love to be able to act out these familiar stories using puppets!
