This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach a large group of amazing fifth graders who come from very diverse backgrounds.The majority of my students are bused to school from all areas of Los Angeles.

Despite the fact that some of my students are dealing with many of life's harsh realities at home, my students come to school eager to learn and work towards a better future for themselves!

My Project

Students need opportunities to have fun while learning! Playing games in the classroom provides one such opportunity!

Students in my class work hard to gain mastery of Common Core Standards in all content areas in my classroom.

Using these blocks, students will play games to review concepts in math and science after studying out these areas in class. Different colors will represent different types of questions students will work on answering in their groups. Students will work on answering the review questions given to them as they try to keep their tower standing.

I am looking forward to seeing the smiles on my students' faces as they play and learn at the same time!
