My Students
My school is in an urban area, and it is classified as a low-performing school due to attendance and low test scores. Our school is able to provide us with some items to create projects; however, resources are limited.
We are learning and growing in our Early Childhood Developmentally Delayed Classroom.
The students in my class have all been diagnosed with a disability. They range in age from 3 to 5. Although there are many activities we struggle with, we enjoy playing in centers as we increase our social skills.
My Project
I have a great bunch of preschoolers with very active imaginations. During the day my students have a chance to play in various centers. They really enjoy make believe play, we have a very limited dramatic play area. We need dolls, clothes and a nursery that will allow the students to imitate real life activities.
The students learn best while playing.
The best thing about preschool is the learning that takes place when the children are working and playing together. They enjoy role playing mommies and daddies, this role playing teaches them the dynamics of a family and how to perform household task. They are also learning to take turns and increasing their vocabularies as they pretend to be little adults.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
