My Students

We are a inner city school where are students come from all different backgrounds. We have 31 different languages spoken at are school. My students come from low-income families. The schools love being physically active especially physical education class when they are in school. Due to this new time with the COVID 19 virus I am trying to have our students be successful in learning all kinds of different activities they love playing basketball, football, soccer, and many other activities. The problem the we are running into with the pandemic. Our students are not allowed to share equipment they need to be socially distancing and have minimal contact with each other.

My students are a great group of kids love learning new activity this year we were able to introducing badminton, pickleball, tennis and volleyball because of donor choose support and other generous people helping with equipment.

This is why I am trying to get them the more equipment they deserve to introduce them to new activity they have never been introduced to before. As well for their safety during the pandemic.

My Project

This donation will be used to teach my students baseball/softball. I have been introducing my students to hitting and playing the game of baseball/softball. But I would love for them to play the actually game with gloves and learning how to catch a ball with a glove. I brought a few gloves in from my house and most of my students to use and they don't even know how to put them on. Most of my students put the glove on the wrong hand. I would love to teach them a great game and give them the opportunity before they go to high school to know how to play baseball/softball. Hopefully this will encourage some of our student to tryout for their high school teams.
