My Students
My students come from a variety of backgrounds. Many languages are spoken at my school. My 9- to 10-year-olds have a thirst for knowledge and lots of energy. They come to school eager to learn something new each day.
They are really great scholars who want to be at school every day, and they inspire me to give my best to them each day.
I want to make sure I have all the things I need to make each day count.
My Project
Since starting in a new school and new classroom in the middle of a pandemic I have noticed that my students need a few things to make the classroom feel like 'theirs'.
By having items that remind them of home, the students will feel more comfortable in the classrooms.
Items like fidgets, snacks, legos, and other toys will help them during break times in our learning day. I have also noticed that my children really like book series, so I have added a few of our favorites that we don't have.
Our transition back to in person learning has been a tough one, and I'd like to support their social- emotional learning by making them as comfortable as possible.
