My Students
Every morning our school shouts out our motto, which describes them as being a leader, responsible, respectful, resourceful, and proud. My students follow this motto in school and in life.
My students come from a city that has been considered one of the most dangerous cities in America.
Despite that, they are creating their own path to a successful future. It amazes me to see how fully engaged they are to learn each and every day. I feel privileged to teach such a great group of kids.
My Project
At my school, we are lucky enough to have a strong math curriculum. We, unfortunately, do not have a reading or writing curriculum. Teachers are expected to create their own curriculum. This leads to spending a lot of our own money paying for the curriculum via teachers pay teachers.
We do not want to reinvent the wheel but rather use others' amazing resources on teachers pay teachers.
There are incredible resources to develop a strong reading and writing curriculum. We want the best for our students and already spend so much of our own money providing the best for them. This gift card will be so helpful to many of our teachers in our school.
