My Project
Our school is a diverse elementary school in La Mesa, California. Next year we will have four Extensive Needs classrooms and 21 General Education classrooms serving roughly 650 students.
We are seeking support through DonorsChoose to help us create a well-equipped sensory motor lab for our elementary school students.
This space will provide essential tools and materials—such as balance equipment, tactile toys, weighted items, and movement stations—to support students with sensory needs, improve self-regulation, and enhance focus throughout the school day. A sensory motor lab benefits all students by offering proactive strategies that promote physical and emotional well-being, especially those with autism, ADHD, or other sensory processing challenges. With your help, we can build a safe and supportive environment that fosters learning through movement and sensory exploration.
