Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are 4-and 5-year-old that come from low-income families or have just arrived from their home countries. My students are so eager to try new things and they love to play games. It always fun when we teach math skills through fun activities.
We will use the Camel manipulative to count, sort and even make abab patterns.
This will help students have hands on materials that will make the lesson more interactive. Using the number water toys will definitely make it more fun for the students. The different animal counters will help with math skill and also they can learn about different animals and their habitats.
More than half of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
