This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My two math classes are comprised of intelligent and driven third grade bilingual students. As different as their socioeconomic backgrounds may be, I'd love the opportunity to provide them with the same experiences this year through the use of virtual reality.
Bringing VR technology into the classroom has proven to improve learning through many avenues.
It can increase student engagement by making learning fun and exciting. VR can also improve retention by creating a memorable experience therefore making teaching more effective. Most importantly, a VR headset can provide my students with access to different experiences in life, from visiting historical sites to sightseeing different places throughout the world to space travel.
