Help me give my students the best online/virtual learning experience. Having a new computer/laptop will help me teach my students and their families on how to navigate and explore new online programs and the classroom curriculum.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
As a teacher in a low-income/high poverty school, my students faced several challenges both in and out of the classroom. All of my students have been identified with special needs such as autism, developmentally delayed, intellectual disabilities, language impairment and deaf and hard of hearing. Despite the many challenges they face, I am looking for the best classroom tools to provide my students with creative and meaningful learning experiences.
My early childhood special education students are very creative and full of energy.
They like to observe, play and explore new materials. A typical day in our class is based on learning through play. From the minute they walk in the door of my classroom I focus on their potential and growth. I am hoping to inspire even our earliest learners to continue on a path of academic excellence.
My Project
Due to the devastated situation we are living now, I am not able to go back to my classroom to start the new school year with my little ones. This is why I want to be prepared for this new virtual beginning of the year. I want to have the best technology to stay in touch with my students and their families. I want to teach them how to use new applications, websites, online classroom assignments, etc. This new device will make a difference in this new path of learning from home.
