Students all over the world squeal with delight when they know it is parachute day in physical education class. We will use this new parachute to replace our tattered and duct taped parachute that served our school well for many years. Our students will be able to comfortably grip, shake, and lift the new parachute without fear of expanding tears. We will use the new foam balls for various parachute games and activities such as "popcorn" and "make them fly". Every student in our school from kindergarten through 5th grade will benefit from these new supplies.
Our goal is to help students learn teamwork and cooperation through physically active parachute play.
Using the parachute properly requires each student to follow directions and work with their classmates to achieve success. We hope our students find joy and satisfaction in moving their bodies and successfully completing class challenges and games. We hope each of our students will gain a love and appreciation for physical activity through cooperative parachute play.
