This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students come into the classroom every day full of life, ready to learn and excited for what is in store for them that day. I teach at a Title I school where 93% of our students receive subsidized lunches. Our school serves students in grades PK through 8th grade and provides rigorous academics, fantastic teachers, and a safe learning environment

They are dreamers, thinkers, talkers, and questioners.

They are mini inspirations to themselves and others around them, even though they don't know it yet. They are the future, and I want to give them the best start I can in school.

My Project

We will be using the lacing letters in the beginning of the year to help us begin to spell our names. Once we have established the correct spelling of our names, we will be able to use them to work on the spelling of simple words. We will use the jumbo dabbers to work on patterns as well as being able to make caterpillars the length of our name. The games that we have requested will be a great addition to small group learning. We will be able to play the games while reviewing the letters of the alphabet. All of the new art supplies will help us to create projects throughout the year.
