Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Science is the knowledge that shows us how the world works. My students need the tools to gain this knowledge.
I have twenty five minority students from an inner-city school in a low-income area that are eager to have fun with science.
However, many of them have learning challenges to overcome. These activities will engage them in positive and constructive manner. Their desire to learn inspires me everyday.
My Project
Science projects often require the right instruments to achieve the desired goals. The students will use tools such as magnifying glasses, a CD-Rom for Learn and Play activities, as well as Sort and Match Science folder games. This will provide tactile, audio-visual learning and bring science alive.
A Science Learning Station will provide a central location to create smaller groups for an essential hands on learning experience.
The tools they need will allow for them activities that are both educational and fun.
