My school is located in the heart of Queens, the NYC borough, and exists to serve our wonderful scholars. There is never a dull moment as we partner with families to support our student body. Our unwavering commitment to my students, school, and community is unquestionable. The population of students we serve is comprised of general and special education students, which includes: foster children, homeless students who live in shelters, and children of essential workers.
These leaders are curious, enthusiastic, creative, and eager to immerse themselves in any challenge.
They come to school each day ready to try new things and take brave chances to grow personally and academically.
Our goal is to help children live adjusted yet full lives and prepare them for the means towards freedom. Honestly, they are my inspiration! My passion and commitment to the students at our school motivate me to put forth my best efforts every minute of every day. I believe that ALL children deserve the best.
My Project
Getting donated resources would benefit our students because they would receive work-related curriculum-based material in a timely fashion. The different resources would support and assist our children's lives and education by keeping their institutional structure from dropping. When schools close, millions of students lose access to learning instruments, safe spaces, and caring educators. Parents who may have financial difficulties or unique circumstances would have the burden of purchasing supplies alleviated during these unprecedented times.
Donated items like laminating sheets, grade-appropriate books, an erase board, and velcro, for example, will be used to enhance the children's communication skills with peers through google classroom, guardians, and educators.
Students will benefit from the resources by being able to interact and stay in tune with the educators. Learning material based on the monthly curriculum will be created in advance and mailed to students. Keeping students on task and excited about learning is our overall aim.
