it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Hello! This project is being created with my beautiful 7th grade Intensive Reading students in mind. These are 12-13 year-old children from diverse backgrounds who tend to struggle with reading and reading comprehension. These are also students who may need the extra push and motivation because they have struggled for much too long.
The goal is to instill a love of learning, and most importantly a love of reading!
I want my kids to realize they have the potential of not only succeeding in reading but loving it in the process.
My Project
This past year has been quite the learning experience for both myself as a teacher and the students. I realize now more than ever the importance of cooperative and collaborative learning.
The goal is to create reading workshops for my students that will create those effective Reading Workshops that help foster the love of reading using whole class novels and independent novels from the class library.
