My Students

We are a brand new middle school and have students from various cultures and backgrounds. Our school is in the very first year with students coming from surrounding schools. We are in grades 7 through 9 middle school setting and are building our school culture this year. Be Kind is a reoccurring theme throughout our halls and students are learning what it means to live this attribute.

Students look forward to exploring new things so that they feel empowered with the skills necessary to excel in life.

I'm very grateful to work with students after school and can appreciate their willingness to strive for healthier levels of fitness through daily physical activities.

My Project

Students are asked to be creative in writing and art class. Why not allow the same creativity to flow in a physical education class? With the oversized beach balls, I plan on doing 2 main things with them. First, I plan to play traditional sports like volleyball, soccer, and even kickball with them. having students play these sports that they know but with an oversized piece of equipment is a lot of fun and they still get to run, jump, move, and play! Secondly, I want to introduce to my students some fun physical activities that are non-traditional and creative. There are so many fun team-building games that can be played in P.E. with these oversized balls and I am looking forward to getting my kids to participate in those games.

I want PE to be fun where students come to exercise, move, and play throughout the day.

I have tried using oversized equipment in the past and have had great success with student engagement and participation. Unfortunately, the equipment I had got so worn and used by all the students that I no longer have them with me.

Please help my students gain the equipment that I know they'll love and enjoy in my P.E. class!
