My Project

Math is a skill that is easy to understand once you know the basics behind it. It can be difficult to explain the step-by-step process to students when they are learning it for the first time. Math is a subject that should be taught with resources and tools for students to gain an understanding of the skill they are practicing. The same thing goes for science as well.

I am seeking tools to help make math more hands on!

These are engaging ways for students, that allow them time to figure out how math works.

I teach at a Title I school with a large population of diverse students. We have over 11 different languages spoken at our school! Some of these students are learning English for the first time, on top of learning the skills they need to master in 4th grade. These students also come from low-income households, and some are refugee students who are new to the country. I am trying to provide my students with resources to help engage them in learning.
