My students need various art supplies such as crayons, markers, and colored pencils, as well as manipulatives that include flashcards and georeflectors.
FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. Norman's classroom raised $526

Math can be fun, but it doesn't come easily for my kids. My school is a very rural school with 98% of the children receiving free or reduced lunch. The students I teach are African-American 6-8 graders. Several of them are Special Education students who are mainstreamed. They attend a regular math class and then come to me for remediation. My students have the lowest test scores of all the children in our school. They have all scored minimum on the state standardized test. If I can't get through to them they will fall further and further behind.
The majority of my kids come from broken homes with multiple brothers and sisters. They rarely have school supplies because their parents cannot afford to purchase them.
My students need hands-on activities. They are visual learners and boring work sheets will not benefit them. They need these supplies so they can do class projects which incorporate colors and shapes. They will be able to draw their own 3-dimensional figures. They can use different colors to show lines intersecting and the angles formed by those lines. The flashcards will give my students repetition which they so desperately need.
Without your help, my students will slip through the cracks in the educational system. They deserve the best I can give them and only you can help me do that.
