My Students

My students are active kindergartners that come from a variety of cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds. Many of my young learners face different challenges both in and out of the classroom. Despite their challenges and differences, they enjoy coming together and learning new things.

My students are explorers, builders, inventors, scientists, artists, readers, authors, and most importantly children, children who are filled with energy and a love for learning.

I desire for all my students to be able to learn through a motivating, engaging, and real-world environment. I love the joy these young children have for learning, and I want to provide them with as many different resources as possible. My hope is to foster an environment where each young child that enters my classroom feels the freedom to embrace who they are as they discover a whole new world of learning.

My Project

Hands-on experiences provide students with the opportunity to become involved in their own learning. When students are involved, they are motivated, engaged, and ready to learn.

I would like to provide engaging activities and materials that will foster a love for learning.

Many of these materials will be used in centers as my students grow their foundation of various literacy skills through hands-on exploration. My young learners will enjoy building the letters of the alphabet with the construction pieces, writing with the doodle pads, and painting letters and words with the paint dotters.
