Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

I'm a 5th-grade teacher in a low-income/high-poverty school district. My students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. Our students come from various economic backgrounds, with 100% of our students receiving free lunch.

I believe that for my students to be successful, they need all the tools to do so.

They are innovative and need a little help along the way to be successful.

My Project

We were recently blessed with a Cricut machine through DonorsChoose for our 4H Club to become innovative learners and digital designers. We weren't sure if the project would get funded, so we did not add vinyl to our original project.

We are now in need of vinyl to start creating items!

The vinyl requested on our list will be used to create school logos on keychains, water bottles, folders, and etc. We also hope to start creating our own designs for community based projects. We will be taking special orders from other students to place vinyl labels on the items that they want. We can't wait to start designing images and making items to bring in funds to our small school club.

Any help that you could give us would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for helping us make our vision come true.
