Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
In my few years of teaching I have learned that positivity is such a motivator for a productive classroom environment, especially with subjects like ELA. In my class I have a ticket system: students that participate positively in class earn tickets that they use to enter into a raffle on Fridays. The more tickets they earn the higher their chance of winning the raffle and having an opportunity to get a prize from the prize box, such as stress balls and lip gloss!
This system incentivizes students to do well in class, as it gives them a tangible reward for their hard work.
It keeps the class fun and exciting! It also helps me manage the classroom with a positive reward system that minimizes having to redirect students for negative behavior.
Please help me fill my prize box with things students will love! My students and I will be forever grateful for any and all contributions.
