This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I have the largest amount of students in my classroom than any other room at my school. I am currently teaching thirty-one first-graders in a Title I school, located in a high poverty and high crime area of Pennsylvania.
All of my students receive free breakfast and lunch.
Many of my students come from homes where English is not spoken. I have three special education students and four ESL (English as a Second Language) students in my classroom. Six of the students in my classroom have an in-class social worker.
My Project
My students will be writing rules for different areas around the school. In order to write these rules, they need large bright post its as well as fat markers.
My first graders need a working sharpener and pencils in order to write our rules and procedures.
In order for our classroom and our bathroom to smell better, my little ones have requested air freshener.
Please help my very special children by getting them paper, pens, a sharpener and nice smelling sprays. Your donation will be very much appreciated. Thank you in advance for considering this project. You are the best.
