Help me give my students these clever made milk crates so they can have a place to put their coats and book bags, this way we can keep them safe and healthy and isolate their belongings.
I am a second grade teacher in a low-income/high poverty school district, my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. I am in an early childhood center that ranges from PreK-2nd grade. I try very hard to make learning the best time of my students day. I want them to yearn to learn and leave me being life long learners. I value each and everyone of my students very much. I work so hard to find out what helps them to soar and thrive each and everyday. I want to make each lesson fun, motivating, and exciting. When they leave me at the end of the day the best thing to see is their bright smiles.
My Project
We are beginning a year of school that we could have never imagined. My students are feeling so many emotions during this time. They are excited because they want to come back to see their friends and teachers. They want to be back in their school environment where they feel safe and happy. At the same time this Pandemic has taking a toll on them. They are feeling anxious and afraid. The biggest question is will I get sick? How is my teacher going to help us all stay safe? Please help me by donating these storage crates so that my students can place their book bag and coat in their own individual space. This will lighten their load knowing that their belongings will not be rubbing up against all the other students in our tiny closet. I am trying to do the best I can to keep my students smiling, learning and safe at the same time. We would greatly appreciate if you can help us have a wonderful school year that is safe and successful.
