My Students
My kindergarteners are amazing! In spite of Covid-19 and wearing face masks, they come to school and work so hard learning how to read and write. Learning letters and sounds without seeing our mouths is harder than it has ever been.
My five-year-olds are eager to learn, curious, and energetic!
Most have never been to preschool before and this is the beginning for them.
In those hours we are together each day, we dream of being doctors, astronauts, football players, singers, teachers, etc. They know the world is theirs! We might be a low-income Title I school, but inside my classroom walls, we are powerful and can do anything!
My Project
Coming to school in a mask and trying to learn how to read is quite challenging. Adding any additional help to our classroom to reinforce the skills of reading is a win!! Kindergarten should be a time of wonder, exploration, and fun. Covid-19 has also brought a sense of fear into our classroom.
By donating this light table and supplies, excitement and a calming effect will be added to our classroom.
What an engaging way to practice skills being taught!! What a great place to go to play and release anxiety and fear. These surfaces can be sanitized between uses for safety.
