In our third grade classroom, we value diversity. This year, there will be five different spoken languages represented, and also many different cultures. We want students to learn about the world from many different and reliable sources.
We are asking for a bi-weekly subscription to Scholastic News for our third graders so they can have a tangible, nonfiction source of information.
This magazine would go home with them, and we would use it to teach reading comprehension strategies. We would also be able to use the digital subscription, which is full of helpful tools.
