This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My kindergarten students are super imaginative and creative. Therefore, they benefit and learn through pretend play. Developmentally, my students are just beginning to read, write, talk to same-age peers, and ultimately find themselves. I also have a few students who are English Language Learners, which means through these pretend play scenarios they can practice using both their first language and English. They are able to do this best through play. During play scenarios using the requested materials, my students can practice interacting with one another, conversational skills, reading, writing, math, and so much more.
By donating to our classroom, you will provide each child with an opportunity to learn and grow in new and exciting ways.
Our dramatic play center will come alive with pretend food, tools, and other items. Students will be able to use these materials with their peers and truly practice key social/emotional skills and kindergarten learning standards in a way that is student-led and developmentally appropriate. My students will truly light up when they see all the amazing things they can do and learn with these materials in a way that is both effective and fun.
