This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

A lot of math is hands-on learning. Our manipulatives are all over the place and to have bins and labels to store them would add more time we have for instruction. Students would be able to independently, take out and store the manipulatives after each use. Also, the cards and dice can be utilized for math games to reinforce their learning in the classroom.

By utilizing dice, cards, and other math manipulatives, students are able to have a conceptual understanding of the math they are learning.

These manipulatives and storage containers with labels will help add to our math classrooms and increase student achievement.
