Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I have an amazing group of kindergartners who are eager to learn and grow! I specifically chose center activities focused on foundational skills such as the alphabet, basic sight words, counting numbers, letter formation, and blending sounds. Students will use these centers activities as I am conducting reading and math groups to help support their literacy and math development. Also, working in different center activities will help students with social-emotional skills as they learn to work with others and take turns.

Additionally, I chose STEM centers to support critical thinking and fine motor skills through hands-on activities.

I notice my students need practice with pencil grip and other fine motor activities. Many of my students did not attend preschool because of COVID-19, therefore, they need additional support in social-emotional and fine motor skills. Creating fun and supportive learning environment will help my students get ready for first grade!
