My Project
My students are part of a program for sessional am/pm PreK3 Austin ISD. This program gives children from all cultures, areas, and incomes an opportunity to learn and thrive within the district.
My students are curious and eager to know more and understand the natural world around them.
Many have a burgeoning passion for literature and providing a variety of texts with rich illustrations will help them deepen their knowledge of flora, fauna and the Earth as a whole. We are currently exploring life cycles, raising chicks and an edible garden and are also transitioning to our final study, recycling. Having books that can convey how our world works and how we can care for it, will help marry the two relating studies for the children. Low-tech option of the view finders is also a sensory friendly way for some of our students (with special needs) to feel comfortably acquainted with the visual aspects of nature and its creatures.
