This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Do you remember the first time you ever learned about people from different countries? My students are just beginning to learn that not all people are from Puerto Rico or the United States.
I teach 22 first graders in a Title 1 School located in a high poverty and high crime area in Pennsylvania.
All of my students receive free breakfast and free lunch. The majority of my students are are now reading at the proper reading and math level and I couldn't be prouder of them. Many of my students come from homes where English is not spoken.
My Project
I would like my students to do research about children from different countries. We just read a book about schools around the world. My students would work in groups of four to learn about different places throughout the world.
My students would work on the Apple MacBook to learn about how their country is similar and different from a different country.
Please help my first graders get a new Apple MacBook in order to learn about a variety of cultures.
I want my students to learn about the world around them. Please help my students be the best that they can be.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
