This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
The students at A. Arts Academy absolutely love our library and say it is magical in our library! They love to read, be read to and engage in all the amazing things we do in the library including keyboarding. Developing a love for literacy and learning and improving our typing skills is our goal!
My Project
We are in need of items to get our books covered. We have books that the kids love read but you can definitely see it with these books when they have read it multiple times for the entire week. I would like to cover these books so that we can make sure that each student gets the book they love, can read it as much as they want, and are able to bring the book back in great shape.
We are also in need of keyboards so that our students are able to learn and practice their typing skills.
We will be using our library to do our typing lessons and have the students practicing and improve their typing.
Finally we will need to have the some of the wobble chairs and items for some of our more rambunctious kids to keep them occupied and focused while still be able to let out some extra energy in the library.
