My Students
My students come from very diverse backgrounds. Many of them have experienced challenges we adults could not imagine. Our diverse classrooms bring many different cultures and languages. School is a safe and engaging place for all students with different backgrounds to come together to play, build relationships, experience, learn and grow safely. My readers come to school eager and ready to engage in their day. We work hard to meet the needs of each of these students both academically and socially.
My Project
Have you gotten the newest book in the Diary of a Pug series yet? I need a good book recommendation; I love mysteries! Do you have a book about superheros that is not a superhero book? We need some new graphic novels! I receive requests like this all the time in the library and I love finding the right reader for each book. The 50 books added to this project have a particular reader in mind! Each fulfills a reading request by one of my students who are eager to keep reading despite the challenges we've had with this school year.
By providing these books you will get new books into the hands of specific readers fit for their specific reading requests.
I cannot wait to see the excitement on their faces when they see that their school library now has something that fits their latest request.
