This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Students sit at their desks for a majority of the day, this rug will give them an alternative to sitting at their desk chairs. This plush rug will create a natural element featuring leaves which ties in with our classroom theme. It is perfect for learning centers, providing a welcoming spot for children to sit, read, and reflect.
My goal is to have my students join me on the rug for read alouds, mini lessons, and conversations.
It will also be a space for small groups and also serve as a calming center.
My students are special because they are motivated to learn and are proud of their achievements.
