My Project

I am a high-school photography teacher who loves to help my students explore their creative outlook on life and perspectives of the world. Our students have had the privilege to engage in a curriculum that explores literacy through photography and introduces them to the work of contemporary artists working in the field.

I am seeking support to purchase a selection of contemporary photography resource materials, including quality photo books and instructional manuals, to spark potential in the minds of high-school students seeking entry-level careers in photography.

We have been blessed to create the foundation of an enriching classroom library, filled with quality photography resource materials, which has helped to make the curriculum more accessible for our students. Despite the foundations being in place, we still have further to go in ensuring that our resource materials reflect the modern world and the lived experiences of our youth. Your support would be a tremendous offering in creating tangible outlets for our students to explore the endless possibilities of photography.
