This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are special because they are enthusiastic learners. The theme in my classroom is camping. I want to share my passion for the great outdoors with my students. Growing up I was not exposed to camping nor did I ever visit any National Parks. I am asking for both fiction and nonfiction read alouds, chapter books, and reference books about camping trips, wilderness animals, and different national parks. My goal for this project is to expose my students to nature, camping, geography, road trips. and our beautiful national parks. Many of my students do not spend much time outdoors in nature and I hope to foster a curiosity for what is outside of our city.
