Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
All kindergarteners are unique. They come from a diverse background and have different learning abilities. Some of my students are reading decodable readers while others are still learning to recognize letters. Others are adding and subtracting while some are merely recognizing numbers 1-10 or learning to count.
My kids are eager to learn and please.
We've enjoyed our time together but I have some students that did not attend pre-k because of the onset of the pandemic.
I teach in a small rural school where there is one class per grade. Because of this, our school funding is limited due to the small number of students that are enrolled.
My Project
Flexible seating allows students to take charge of their learning and make choices that work best for them. For those with ADHD, the wobble seats will help them stay engaged during instruction. It allows movement instead of sitting still. The sensory table will benefit kids with different learning styles. Some kids need hands on experiences for enrichment.
Each student learns differently and the products I have selected will help all the students in my class.
Currently, students choose to work in different areas of the classroom. These two products will benefit them tremendously.
