My Project
Fundraising helps children learn important life skills.
These include goal-setting, planning, accountability, teamwork, leadership, physical activity—the list goes on.
Plus, having a direct stake in their school's wellbeing through fundraising can strengthen children's academic and social engagement.
My students will benefit from the experience and pride of raising funds for this unforgettable experience.
We are planning on using our creativity by making individualized and personalized items. We need these sublimation drawstring bags, umbrellas, patches, and keychains to make themselves. This activity will make my students feel as if they are more in control of their lives.
Making personalized items such as personalized key chains, umbrellas, and hats as a fundraiser gives my students the opportunity to raise money for a field trip and ownership of their accomplishments. It will enable students to work with money and "customers". Learning to work with others and stepping out of the box will not only be a lesson in finance but in social and emotional health.
