My Students

My students attend second grade at our public elementary school in California. We have kids at every level of reading, writing, and math. We know we all have strengths and weaknesses and we help each other through together. These kids are so special. They are the kindest, sweetest, most caring students I have ever had in my teaching career.

We like to celebrate our differences and support each other on our learning journey.

We are a team and we stick together through it all.

My Project

Second grade is an important year for reading. We're honing our skills to become avid and accomplished readers. We need to use all our reading time in second grade to focus and practice the skills we've learned so far.

These reading comprehension materials will help propel my students to a higher mastery of learning.

The flexible seating will help students who might need an extra bit of help to focus while they read. The reading comprehension journals will be a great way to practice those skills on a daily basis. It is so important to support students no matter where they are with their academics or their focus skills.
