This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
We are a PALS (Preschool for All Learners) Special Day Program classroom at Blythe Elementary School. We serve 8 special education eligible children under kindergarten age with moderate to severe needs. Our classroom meets Monday through Friday for 4.5 hours daily. We enjoy our preschool curriculum and love being in preschool. Speech/Language and Adapted Physical Education services are embedded through the daily classroom routines and instruction.
My Project
Our pre-school students are learning to count by 1's and they are using play money to learn financial literacy in the classroom. We use movements and counting tools to skip count by 1's. We can jump on tiles to count our numbers on. We can also use toy cars to count on by 1's. The play mat will be useful to track our toy cars for counting. Learning is so much fun and we can not wait to add our new items to our classroom. Your generous and kind donations will be greatly appreciated!
