This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Young children have shorter attention spans and need energy throughout the day to stay engaged in lessons. A small snack can help boost their energy and keep them focused on their work. It’s especially helpful after long periods of learning or before transitioning to another activity. When kids are hungry, they might struggle with mood regulation or become restless. A snack can help keep their behavior in check, making it easier for you to manage the classroom and for them to concentrate on learning tasks.
Offering snacks in the classroom gives an opportunity to promote healthy eating habits.
You can provide nutritious options like fruits, vegetables, or whole grains, teaching students the importance of healthy snacks. Kids need proper nutrition to think clearly. A snack with the right balance of nutrients can help improve their cognitive abilities, leading to better problem-solving, memory, and critical thinking during lessons.
