My Project
One goal schools across America have is to have all students reading on grade level by third grade. For some, this is a difficult feat without proper intervention and support. Many of these students need alternative ways to help them learn to read. As a reading teacher I know they need systematic phonics with the use of different manipulatives to help them grow.
Every child can learn to read!
The use of manipulatives like dominos that have vowel patterns on them help students build their vowel knowledge in a fun way. Students that struggle with reading also struggle with phonemic awareness such as rhyming. An activity where students can match rhyming sounds help students learning to read and see patterns in words.
Students may learn at a different rate, but every child can read. Help me make sure that every child gets the chance to grow!
