Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I plan to use the science vocabulary readers life cycle and national Geographic nonfiction books to introduce my students to the wonders of science. As a teacher of an Academic & Behavioral Environment Learning program (ABLE), I also plan to use the jumbo eye droppers, the science jumbo magnifiers, the magnetic wands with bingo chips, and especially the science can solar system for kids as science centers for my students. Science centers have a designated place and time in our classroom but my students need new materials.

In order for my students to learn the wonder of science in our classroom they need appropriate level books and science resources.

I know that all of my students will enjoy these materials.

Their interest for science is like a jar of candy that is full of colorful wonders that they want to taste and explore. All of their excitement coupled with their wanting to play and manipulate the science items will keep them learning all year long. Believe me when I say that the simple things make a big difference to students each and every day.
