This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our school and students are eager learners that benefit from actual realia and physical items that incite learning and capture their ranging interest. Due to the lack of resources for both the students and the school, equipment for students usually dries up by the end of January. This equipment is essential to assist students in becoming relaxed and ready to learn in the classroom setting.
Having an outlet to support learning, is essential to improving the academic outcomes of students.
A large amount of these students experience stressful home situations that funnel into the classroom and environment.
My Project
Outdoor equipment and access to game supplies and balls can change the life of a child. It can introduce a student to a new love, as well as providing an outlet to increase acquisition of academic content. In addition, teachers can use this equipment to work cooperatively with educational content and topics. Students can shoot hopes while saying time-tables, or kick a soccer ball while saying rhyming words. The possibilities are endless.
After a long day of engaging learning, students need a physical outlet to release stress to be relaxed and ready to learn.
Students need to release the stress of a rigorous academic environment. Equipment assists with ensuring that students play the games properly and stay on task without getting hurt. The benefits of having equipment to increase academic excellence and low frustration filters in my community are essential.
