My Students

My 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th graders are PHENOMENAL!

My students are funny, loving, hardworking and technology lovers.

They are 21st Century life-long learners who accept any task that they are given from planting trees to pH predictions. They are critical thinkers who keep me teaching and learning EVERY DAY. The energy that they release is as strong as a volcanic eruption! They are the JEWELS of the next generation. My students are hardworking and love to be challenged as well as challenge each other. THEY LOVE SCIENCE/ S.T.E.M. It's no secret around our school. They love each other. They love learning about Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. Many of my students give up their recess time to volunteer to work in our science lab. (PRICELESS) Our motto in our science lab is that we are "1 BIG HAPPY KINDA FAMILY!" My school is a small K- 8th with 264 students. The teachers are phenomenal with great leadership, great parents and great students and this makes a great team!

My Project

This MindstormEV3 & SPACE Set will help me teach my about computer engineers and how they solve problems. The set allows students to collect and present their (data) journey to the moon. My students will get a chance to learn the fundamentals of robotics, programming-coding, observe each other using hands-on STEM EV3 lessons; while making STEM integrated content connections. This will afford opportunities for them to learn programming ,planning and troubleshooting while working in collaborative teams on missions to the moon in an engaging way.

This Lego Mindstorm /SPACE EV3 Set will allow my students to learn computer science concepts and engineering principles.
