My Project

Hello! My name is Mrs. Ortiz and I work in a district and program that serves low-income students and their families. I hope to get this camping project funded because most of my students do not have the opportunity to explore nature due to economic level or lack of opportunity. Children will be able to role play by camping, fishing and cooking foods in the dramatic play! Using items such as the grill with food, toy camera and s'mores playset will enhance their role play to be able to build on their social skills and vocabulary. These items will spark conversation of nature and the outdoors! This dramatic play directly connects with our SAVVAS curriculum and Theme 3.
