it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My cheerleaders are creative, thoughtful and full of energy. They absolutely love to cheer and are an important part of motivating our school in a positive way. They come to school each day ready to cheer, motivate and I love helping them to grow personally and make life long memories. Truly, they are my inspiration!
Many cheerleaders come to me saying they have difficulty being on our cheer squad because of limited funds at home.
Our school is nestled in the heart of Houston, low income area, which was recently hit hard by Hurricane Harvey many of the kids parents lost a lot and just do not have the money to let their kids cheer with many of them affected, our families often struggle to find the funds for extra curricular activities.
Each child on my cheer team absolutely loves to cheer and I love helping them make memories that will last a lifetime.
My Project
My cheerleaders are need of some good speakers for their cheer routines. Right now we have one broken speaker. it goes in and out during performances.
With a new speaker the girls will be able to perform with confidence and good quality sound.
Before with our one broken speaker, we would have to use a microphone to enhance the sound, but their was still lots of static, and the student and parents in the audience were still unable to really hear the music.
With nice speakers my entire squad will be able to hear their music during their performances with good quality sound.
