I teach a fun, active group of 25 second graders. They love to learn and work together. In second grade, we learn a lot of new skills every day. These students are eager to learn and apply their skills every day!
My students are on a variety of levels in the classroom.
They need engaging ways to practice skills they are missing. My students that are reading above level need engaging ways to challenge their brains!
They need new and exciting experiences to keep them engaged in our curriculum. I like to provide them with experiences that will immerse them in the learning and teach them about the world we live in.
My Project
My students need new diverse books to help them see themselves and see the world around them. These books will be used to help students understand the world around them. These books are very well written and beautifully illustrated. I know they will love reading these stories. They will be excited to see people who act like them. They will help students see themselves in the book and understand differences.
Students should be able to see people who look and act like them in children's books.
It is so important for children to see positive examples of children who are like them.
Help me give my student's materials for a glow day room transformation. We will turn the lights off and be lit by a blacklight. The kids will wear the construction vests and they too will glow. The cups and bowling set will be used in learning games. Engagement increases a ton when the children are playing.
Room transformations increase student's engagement and they are so excited about learning! I can't wait to give them a glow day!
