This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The majority of our inner-city students lack basic language skills. A playhouse helps promote interaction through the use of a setting all students can relate to. A playhouse can be an incredible tool for promoting language in our pre-k class. It is filled with familiar household items that all students can relate to. It promotes role-playing, conversation, vocabulary, and social development.
The goal of this project is for our class to have an incredible language development tool available to support our students for years to come.
Our inner-city students have incredible intelligence and potential to contribute to our community. Let's inundate them with opportunities to develop their language skills so that all that potential inside can be projected.
