My students need 40 books in Spanish, including children's and teen books as well as some of the classics.

Help me help my students read in a second language! I am a high school Spanish teacher teaching students between the ages 14 and 18. Our school is in a high-needs community and is dedicated to providing a quality education to a primarily low-income student population.

My students love to read but our textbook only provides short texts having to do with outdated histories of Spanish speaking countries. I want to provide my students with an up to date classroom library of Spanish books that they will want to pick up and read when we do silent reading.

I am requesting a variety of books in Spanish, from popular children's books to the classics. I selected a wide variety because my student's interests are so varied and I want the books to appeal to everyone. Having access to Spanish interest books to my students will enable them to improve their Spanish literacy skills. I teach two classes with juniors and seniors who will be coming face to face with taking college level Spanish in a couple years. Having strong literacy skills now, will help them succeed in their college courses to come.

Your help will make it possible for my students to enjoy reading in Spanish more. The more they enjoy reading, the more they will read, improving upon their developing skills.
