This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Writing is an area where many students continue to struggle as it can be a challenging skill. My students have learning disabilities with many being second language learners, and our district curriculum does not meet their writing needs.

These resources will help me deliver instruction to improve students' writing with a progression of sentences to paragraphs then paragraphs to essays.

In addition, with the Teachers Pay Teachers card I can provide students with various resources including graphic organizers/thinking maps as well as engaging writing activities/prompts. The pocket sleeves and zipper pouches will allow us to keep all our writing resources organized. And to make writing fun for them I would like to have them use different writing tools such as the invisible ink pens and neon chalk!
